Free users updates

Dear dataloader.io Community,

We are excited to announce that we have reached 250,000 users and wanted to thank you all once again for choosing dataloader.io.

Our vision is to provide a high quality solution across the board and to ensure dataloader.io remains free to most of you. However, 250,000+ users add a lot of restrictions to our existing infrastructure and to ensure the highest level of service we are going to make small changes to our freemium model. As of July 20th we are going to decrease the number of rows processed for free users from 50,000 to 10,000 rows per month and number of related objects and attachments from 10,000 to 1,000.  Everything else will remain the same and these changes won’t affect existing Professional and Enterprise Edition customers.

We are hoping to bring more amazing features into life this year and are excited to share them with you!

Thanks,
dataloader.io Team

While I understand you are running a business and can't give away everything for free, I wouldn't consider such a HUGE decrease "small changes to the freemium model."

Also when taking something away from users I'd consider it a best practice to tell them in advance with a pop-up notification so they can prepare what to do when losing functionality they had. This post was extremely hard to find.

I just want to try your product to update 1150 records (opportunities) within Sales Force. Can I try it with the update for free?

Hi Kevin, thanks for your interest in dataloader.io! Yes, as a free user you can import/export up to 10,000 records per month.

    Happy data loading!

Anton - I exported ~1150 opportunity records into an excel spreadsheet then modified them. I am trying to use the "update" feature in dataloader to update the opportunity records in SalesForce and dataloader will not allow me to do this. I was being helped by the technical team at Salesforce and they were stumped.

Can you help me update these records?

Hi Kevin, we're always here to help! I would advise to create a separate post in the community forum stating your problem as well as including supporting information such as: task run ID, error messages, screenshots - this will help our support team when investigating the problem.
