Unknown exception error message

The last few times I have tried to delete contacts, the job fails and the error message I get is: "ERROR: An unknown exception has occured." I can't figure out why, I'm including the Contact ID's that were exported out of Salesforce.

Hi Holly,

In order to help with your issue, I will need some more information.

Can you please share the following details?

- Task Run ID
- Input CSV file
- Screenshot of the error

With above info, I will analyze and provide an answer.

Regards!

HI Pablo,

The Task Run ID is: 16344154. I have tried to attach the CSV file which shows the error message but it will only let me attach an image not a file so i have attached a screenshot of the file-let me know if you want me to send it to you another way? I also attached a screenshot of the error message on DataLoader

Thanks!

Holly,

I'm analyzing your issue, although I will need your input CSV file or the error CSV file.

Please, can you upload it to some cloud drive (box, dropbox, etc) and share a link so I can download?

If possible, please, share a small sample file which is also reproducing the error.

Regards!

By the way, can you please check if you are able to delete a single contact? (use a CSV file with just one contact).

Please, let me know the result of this test.

Thanks!

I don't have a Drop Box account unfortunately but if you send me your email address I would be happy to email you the CSV error file.

I also tried to see if I was able to delete a single contact and I was not able to, it gave me the same error message.

Thanks,

Holly,

Please, send the file to info@dataloader.io.

Additionally, can you please log in to your Salesforce and try to manually delete one of the records that you are trying to delete from dataloader.io? Let me know if you are able to do so or not.

Finally, please, validate if you have any automation on SF side (like a trigger) associated with this action (deleting contacts). If yes, please, disable them and try again.

Regards,

I did log-in and got the exact same error message so now I"m thinking it's a Salesforce issue. I will contact them to see if they can fix it.

Thank you!

In that case, I would suggest you to ask a Salesforce Administrator on your Organization to validate if you have Delete permissions for Contacts Objects.

Anyway, Salesforce support will be able to better guide you to a solution.

Best regards!
